Jimmi' Jammer® for 2007 - 13 full size GM trucks and SUVs is discontinued.
This page remains for reference.

Notice that the lock is missing from this handle!

<< The photo to the left shows an example from a 2007 Tahoe that was burglarized in a mall parking lot.

The thief puts a screwdriver into the lock and punches it into the door. The plastic lock holder breaks, and the lock is loose in the door.

Once the lock is loose, it can be moved to unlock the door.

It's fast, easy and doesn't attract much attention.

Photo 2 to the right shows the inside of your driver side door. The lock assembly is below right-center of the picture.

The red arrow points to the area where a thief can push a screwdriver through the opening in the body metal for easy access to the lock pawl and rod.

The Jimmi' Jammer® will block this access and prevent the lock from being punched into the door.

Photo 3 to the right shows a Jimmi' Jammer® plate installed inside an 07-13 Chevy Silverado.

You can see how the plate protects the lock area.

Look in the lower left corner of the plate. There is a set screw thru the plate edge that seats against the inner door metal. This acts as a second anchor point and adds to the strength of the assembly.

The plate bolts to the handle using the factory mounting stud, so no cutting or drilling is required.

Front passenger side door

Passenger side doors have an opening in the door metal where a lock would normally fit. The thief can pry in through that opening and attack the lock rods near the door latch.

Each Jimmi' Jammer® kit comes with two plates. Install one on each front door whether there is a lock or not!

What about rear doors?

The 2007 -13 body style does not require a Jimmi' Jammer® on the rear doors.

There is no opening in the sheet metal behind the handle as on the front doors so there is no easy way to get through to the lock rods inside the door cavity.
